The new work of Armando Tejuca explores the relationship of the human figure with the elements of nature.

"For many years I have been interested about the time and the matter, on how to shape the matter in order to achieve sensations or how to anticipate or surpass the times in which we live. My intention is to reflect a state of visual welfare and leave a memory. Perhaps in the form of lines, stains, pieces of matter that may cause a Déja Vú of our previous state. He resorted to the use of natural leaves, mixing different kinds of materials to make textures that narrates the passage of time and make jump our view seen from the initial figure until the background's details, a series of layers superposing like veils, like networks, levels, readings. As if it were a copulation of events, a succession of lived years, ultimately our life. Sometimes I add the light from behind the image producing a vitral like effect. I also use papyrus, Indian papers made with rice and flowers, Chinese ink, gold laminates , dry leaves. Death materials brought to life and loaded with energy by the images. Just as our lives. Marks on the textures of time." says Tejuca.

  1. En Encuentro, en un anuncio lateral, a la derecha, pusieron Bejuca en vez de Tejuca. Tal vez alguien de Bejucal a quien lo traicionó la nostalgia en Madrid. Saludos.
